Last updated 1 October 20262 min read

These terms cover your use of Primer and the courses you buy or join. They are written to be read. By creating an account you agree to them, so if anything is unclear, ask us first.

Your account

You need to be 16 or older to make an account. Keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account. One account is for one person.

Your course licence

When you buy a course, or join one with All access, you get a personal licence to watch its lessons and use its materials for your own learning. Please don't share your login, download the videos or resell the lessons. Teachers put years into these courses.

All access billing

  • All access is billed monthly or yearly, at the price shown when you join.
  • It renews on the same day each period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time in your account settings. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • If we change the price, we email you at least 30 days before your next renewal.

14-day money back

If a course is not for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying it, or within 14 days of starting All access, and we pay you back in full. No forms, no questions. After 14 days, payments are not refunded, but you can always cancel the next one.

Your work stays yours

Everything you make and upload stays yours. You give us a limited licence to store it and show it to your teacher, so they can mark it up and send feedback. We never use it anywhere else without asking you first.

Be kind

Feedback is the heart of Primer. Treat teachers and other students with respect. We may pause or close accounts that harass people, upload work that isn't theirs or try to break the platform.

We would much rather help than ban. If something goes wrong, write to us first.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep lessons online and your work safe, but we can't promise the site will never be down. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes and the law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email you before it applies. These terms follow the law of the country where Primer is registered. Questions go to hello@primer.school.
